Heather Wilson of the Liberals says the federal Conservatives have too much red tape when it comes to applying for FedNor money. Wilson is one of four candidates running in Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing. Wilson says the Conservatives make businesses go through hoops that are not necessary. She says business and groups that apply for the federal funding find the process to difficult.   Wilson says applying to FedNor would be less convoluted under the Liberals. Wilson adds the Grits wouldn’t divert unspent FedNor money back into general coffers the way the Tories have been doing. Wilson is challenging Carol Hughes of the NDP for the AMK seat. Also in the running are Andre Robichaud of the Conservatives and Calvin John Orok of the Green Party.
