The Algoma District School Board has acclaimed its chair and vice-chair for another term.
According to the release, Jennifer Sarlo has been acclaimed as chair and Elaine Johnston acclaimed as Vice Chair at their inaugural meeting on December 5th.Â
Sarlo has been a trustee since 2006, elected vice-chair in 2009, and elected as chair in 2011, leading the board consecutively for the last 11 years. Â
She has also served on numerous committees and represented the area at the Ontario level.Â
Johnston, the board’s First Nation trustee, has served on the Algoma District School Board for the past nine years. Â
From Serpent River First Nation, she has served on numerous boards and committees at the local, regional, and national level.Â
