There’s been a raid at Vale Mine. The Sudbury Star says the RCMP and officials from Environment Canada raided the company’s engineering building in Copper Cliff. The Star quotes three sources confirming Thursday’s raid. One person told the paper the raid was in connection with a spill affecting fish and wildlife. Another source says officials removed files, computers and cabinets. In addition, employees gave police their security badges so they couldn’t get back into the building once they left for the day. The Star contacted Vale but the paper’s call was not returned.
