Algoma Manitoulin Candidate Carol Hughes, says an NDP government will make the Ring of Fire a reality. She says one reason why the chromite project can’t get started is because the Prime Minister keeps arguing with the province over the mega-development. Hughes says this approach is not producing results and leadership is needed to make the mining site a reality. Hughes says it’s important that the feds partner with the province and also First Nations on the mining project which will provide decades of work. Hughes is being challenged by Calvin John Orok of the Green Party, Liberal hopeful Heather Wilson and Andre Robichaud of the Tories.
