Manitoulin Island’s Madison Kvaltin wins Miss Universe Canada 2023 title

A 25-year-old woman from Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island has won the title of Miss Universe Canada 2023.
Madison Kvaltin competed against 76 other contestants this past Saturday representing Manitoulin Island at the competition held in Vancouver, British Columbia.
She has held several titles since she started competing in 2016.
Last year, she was the 1st runner up at the Miss International Canada and a previous Miss Northern Ontario title holder.
A management intern at Manitoulin Transport, she advocated for positive body image and mental health.
Aside from her work at the company, she is also an entrepreneur who owns two companies, one that has athletic wear, the other focusing on body imaging and healthy lifestyles.
She also fundraised for SOS Children’s Villages, which creates stable, loving families for orphaned and abandoned children.
Besides speaking and public engagements in the offing, she will now represent Canada at the 72nd Miss Universe 2023 being held in San Salvador in El Salvador on November 18th.
