LGBT Purge directors mark Elliot Lake’s 10th Anniversary PRIDE celebrations

Dozens of people took part in the Pride Motorcade and BBQ luncheon in celebration of the City of Elliot Lake’s Pride 10th Anniversary.

Both members of Parliament took part in this year’s motorcade, which also included the board members of the LGBT Purge Fund led by Grand Marshal Michelle Douglas, and accompanied by Emperor Adam Macdonald and Empress Brent Bisaillion, and riders from the Amazon Bikers Club.

The day also included a discussion about the Purge Fund, which is a legal settlement reached in 2018.

It is a not-for-profit corporation that was set up to manage a portion of the funds that emerged from the class action settlement and is legally required to use these funds for projects that focus on reconciliation and memorialization.

The weekend was capped off with a dance Saturday evening, and special brunch on Sunday.
