MPP Mantha staffed and preparing for re-election

Michael Mantha, the MPP for the Algoma-Manitoulin riding is back to his usual day-to-day activities as the representative of the riding.
Mantha says he has re-hired his staff who worked for him before he was removed as a NDPer earlier this month while the party investigates an allegation of misconduct in the workplace.
Mantha has no comment to make about the allegation but stresses he plans to keep representing the riding to the best of his ability.
He says he faces challenges and demonstrates that there is more improvement that he can make as an individual to be a better person, father and community member.
Mantha adds he will continue to sit in the House of Commons as an independent and register as such for the next election in 2026.
The allegation against Mantha was made in December and the new NDP leader Marit Stiles removed him from the NDP caucus when she assumed the leadership.
Mantha was first elected as MPP in 2011.
