St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake has lifted its visitor restrictions.
Hospital CEO Jeremy Stevenson says while they welcome visitors back to the hospital, he wants to emphasize the importance of following safety protocols, such as visitors must wearing a mask while in the hospital and practice good hand hygiene.
He suggests visitors should also take a Rapid Antigen Test prior to visitation.
Stevenson says visitation hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. while Essential Care Partners can continue to visit without any restriction with a limit of two visitors per patient.
The new policy comes into place immediately.
