Officials with the Manitoulin Health Centre share that after many delays because of supply chain issues, the newly renovated and expanded emergency department in Mindemoya is open for business.
They add effective this Thursday, patients will now go directly to the emergency department, take a number and ring the bell. Once they attend triage, the nurse will give them further directions.
The Board, Management and Staff are all extending a huge thank you to the community for their patience, adding what was once a dream has now become a reality, and the space will allow their team to deliver the high standards of care every patient needs.
