The 14th Annual Elliot Lake Fishing Derby on Horne Lake was a huge success according to city Economic Manager Steve Antunes.
He says 431 anglers entered the derby and one lucky winner; Amy Karhi of Sudbury took home a cheque of $21,550 this past Saturday.
Antunes adds all told, there were more than $41,000 in prizes with other proceeds being invested in future tourism initiatives.
