A charge of careless driving has been laid against an Espanola driver following a collision with an OPP cruiser.
Manitoulin OPP Constable Jessica Gilbertson says on Monday morning, a collision occurred between a vehicle and a police cruiser on Highway Six at the sound end of town.
She says a vehicle left a commercial parking lot, turning northbound onto Highway 6 struck the police cruiser and caused extensive damage to both vehicles.
She adds there were no reported injuries and a 48-year-old from Espanola has been charged with careless driving.
