Cambrian R&D Wins 2023 Minister’s Award of Excellence for Innovation

Cambrian College is this year’s recipient of an award from Ontario’s Minister of Colleges and Universities with Jill Dunlop presenting her Minister’s Award of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to Cambrian R&D at a ceremony in Toronto earlier this week.

Accepting the award on behalf of the college were Kristine Morrissey, Cambrian’s Vice-President of Finance, Administration, and International, and Dr. Mike Commito, Director of Cambrian R&D, the Applied Research division of the college.

Morrisey says the award is the result of an enormous amount of collaboration, innovation and teamwork with their community partners and it is gratifying to have that acknowledged at the provincial level.

Committo adds he is also pleased to have the team of staff and students recognized for the ground-breaking work they are doing with industry partners in Sudbury.

The Minister’s Award of Excellence recognizes the exceptional performance of faculty, staff and graduate students from colleges, universities, private career colleges and Indigenous Institutes across Ontario.
