Search continues for missing Manitoulin Island woman

The public’s help is being sought by the United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin Anishnaabe Police in finding a woman from Manitoulin Island.

In a release, police say they began their investigation on February 1st when Josephine Corbiere from MChigeeng First Nation was reported missing, stressing she has not been since December 26th.

Police say Corbiere is described as standing five feet, two inches tall, has a medium build, dark brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.

Call your nearest police service or Crimestoppers if you have any information about Corbiere.

Anyone with information regarding Corbiere’s whereabouts is asked to contact UCCM Police at 705-377-7135 or OPP at 1-888-310-1122 immediately. If you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit information online.
