Artists sought for unique project in Elliot Lake

The Arts & Culture Advisory Committee of the City of Elliot Lake is calling artists of all ages to submit designs based on a Woodlands theme for unique set of panels.

Committee spokesperson Prisca Campbell says Woodlands is open to multiple interpretations – natural resources, four seasons, wildlife, history, and recreational activities.

She says the final selections of the Photo Op Cutout Panels Project will see the panels installed in various locations around Elliot Lake later this year.

She says those locations include various tourist stops, including the museum, boat launches, parks, even city hall.
Campbell adds if a design is chosen, the successful applicant will receive a $100 honorarium with the chosen artwork becoming the property of the city.

Design specifications can be found at https://www.elliotlake.ca/en/recreation-and-culture/arts-and-culture.aspx

There are two ways to enter – online or deliver your entry in person to: Amelia D’Amato at the Collins Hall – 120 Hillside Drive North.
