FedNor funding for two local communities

The Town of Spanish and the Township of Assiginack on Manitoulin Island are receiving tourism funds from FedNor.

Spanish is receiving $90,000 to undertake the Spanish Marina Feasibility Study and Assiginack is receiving $126,000 to complete the engineering and design portion of the Assiginack Multipurpose Arts and Events Centre construction project.

Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister responsible for FedNor, announced the new FedNor investments last Friday for 27 tourism initiatives for Northern Ontario including the two local projects.
