OPP request public’s help in break & enter

The public is being asked for its assistance in helping East Algoma OPP solve a break-and-enter that occurred at a Timber Road business in Elliot Lake in November.

Constable Phil Young says the break-in occurred during the night of November 29th, 2022.

He says several items ranging from chainsaws to outdoor motors, tools and even a generator were taken that night.

Young says a pick-up was also stolen and found completely burnt on Pipeline Road.

He says if any member of the public has any information, they are asked to call police directly or can make an anonymous report with Sudbury Rainbow Crimestoppers.

Young provided more details as the items stolen: a Lincoln 180 Mig-Pak welder on cart, red pistol grip ice auger blade in canvass bag, fishing rods and tackle, two outboard motors (8hp Johnson and 9.9hp Evinrude), three chainsaws (Stihl, Husqvarna, and Jonsered), Honda 2000 watt generator, two Dewalt drills and tool bag, Bombardier side-by-side Hitachi 4-piece track set, Honda 724 track snowblower, and bottles of brandy and cognac.

Anyone with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this incident should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
