Not one, but two plays introduce new school to community Christmas spirit

Two schools housed in the same building will be hosting many firsts this holiday season and raising funds for a worthy cause.

Jodi Bourcier, the music director for Sacred Heart School says musically inclined students will join with their peers from Ecole la Renaissance to mount two plays for the public. She says the two plays: The Great Bake Off and Wow, a nativity play, will be presented on Friday, December 2nd at 7 pm and Saturday, December 3rd at 2 pm in the gym.

She says it is the first production to feature students from both schools, it is the first show to have an audience in the new school, and it is their first live production since 2019 due to the pandemic.

Bourcier says admission is a donation with the funds going toward the purchase of new curtains for the stage with a bake sale also being held at the Saturday matinee.

She adds they are very close to the $13,000 needed and thanks everyone for their generosity.

Use the Sacred Heart entrance to access the building.
