OPP on Manitoulin are putting out an advisory to get motorists used to seeing kids again heading back to school. Island police say it’s important for drivers to be extra careful and to stop when a school bus has its stop arm extended and red light flashing. The last school year saw 22 incidents of vehicles and school buses colliding across Northeastern Ontario. The good news is there were no serious injuries to anyone. Inspector Mark Andrews with OPP headquarters in North Bay says although different factors caused the collisions, he adds they were all preventable.
