An afternoon tea will be held to celebrate volunteers who have stepped up when it came to the upkeep and renovations of the Walford Community Centre.
Theresa Minton who sits on the boards says there are several volunteers who will be recognized with the presentation of certificates during the event, which takes place from 1 pm to 3 pm this Sunday, September 25th.
She says the caretaker will also be acknowledged for their contribution to helping maintain the building.
Minton adds recent retrofits include a bench to sit and enjoy the mural work that now decorates the building’s exterior.
