The federal Conservative Party begins the week with a new leader.
Pierre Poilievre was chosen by members of the party for the position after taking 68.5 percent of the vote in an election on Saturday.
Poilievre won on the first ballot with Jean Charest coming in a distant second with just over 16 percent of the vote.
The new leader will address the National Conservative Caucus in Ottawa later this morning.
