Municipal debates set for three of four communities

The Town of Espanola and the townships of Sables-Spanish Rivers and Nairn & Hyman Township will have all candidates’ nights for the upcoming municipal election.

The debates, hosted by Moose 99.3 FM CJJM – Espanola will take place the first week of October in the respective communities.

The first will be held Monday, October 3rd at the Nairn town hall, then on Wednesday, October 5th at the Sadowsky Room at the Massey Arena for Sables-Spanish Rivers and Espanola’s Royal Canadian Legion will host on Thursday, October 6th.

With such a large slate of candidates, the doors will open at six pm, with the mayor’s debates from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, followed by the council debates from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.

The Township of Baldwin is in the process of hiring a now clerk/returning officer and confirmation is expected soon.
