The Elliot Lake Red Wings hockey team is sharpening the blades in time for the start of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League season.
Vice-president and general manager, Mark Savery, says the team was able to have 20 returning players and has retained 17 guys they wanted back, so recruitment is not an issue.
He adds goaltender Cam Smith, who was rated the third best goaltender last season, is coming back.
Savery adds the team kicks off training camp today and will start out with 10 goaltenders on the ice and about 38 players alternating skate time.
