OPP RIDE SMART TEAM is coming to Manitoulin Island

The Manitoulin OPP and the United Chiefs and Councils of Manitoulin Anishnaabe Police Services are partnering to welcome the Ride Smart Team, which will be coming to Little Current and M’Chigeeng First Nation.

Constable Tessa Kasch says the Ride Smart Cycling Program aims to create positive relationships between young people and police through bicycling.

She says it is also a course that focuses on providing practical skill through cycling.

Kasch says all youth are invited to participate and must have a bike and helmet to participate.

She says there will be two sessions on Tuesday August 16, the first in Little Current at the recreation centre from 9:30 am to noon and the second at the complex in M’Chigeeng First Nation from 1:30 pm to four pm.
