East Algoma OPP is investigating theft of drilling equipment

The theft of thousands of dollars in drilling equipment out of a storage van is being investigated by the East Algoma OPP.

Constable Bev Gauthier says officers investigated the theft of drilling equipment valued at over $30,000 on Monday.

She says the cube van was parked at MacCallum Road and Highway 129 in Wells Township over the weekend, so police believe the theft took place sometime during that time.

Gauthier says a padlock had been cut off the secured roll-up door giving access to the participants to the items inside.

Any person with information regarding this theft is asked to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit information online at www.saultcrimestoppers.com where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.

  • Two Husqvarna Concrete Core Drills
  • Husqvarna Power Pack Drill

  • Hilti Drill model 300
  • Diamond Drill Core Bits (variable sizes)
