Inquest into jail deaths to be held

Two men who died several months apart while in custody at the North Bay jail are now the objects of an inquest.  The coroner has ordered an inquest into the death of a 25-year-old man who died in March 2013.  The inquest will also examine what events led to the death of the other man, identified as 30-year-old Adam Reed of Sault Ste. Marie.  Reed was in the North Bay jail for assault and was to have a bail hearing on the day he died, November 7th, 2012.  The day after his death the Sault Star reported that Reed`s family had told police that he might harm himself.  The three-day inquest begins September 14th in North Bay.
