Public Health Sudbury & Districts Board appoints Associate Medical Officer of Health

Public Health Sudbury & Districts has appointed an Associate Medical Officer of Health.

Board chair Rene Lapierre says Dr. Imran Adrian Khan will assume the position of Associate Medical Officer of Health starting October 24, 2022.

He says Dr. Khan will work under the direction of the Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Penny Sutcliffe.

Lapierre says Dr. Khan will complete his specialty training at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University in October adding until the appointment is approved by the Ontario Minister of Health, Dr. Khan will continue to work as a public health physician.

WEB: Dr. Khan holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Waterloo and was recently successful in his Public Health and Preventive Medicine Fellowship exams with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
