Nairn & Hyman council looking at alternative to traditional burials

Nairn & Hyman council is asking for public comment on the possibility of installing a columbarium at the Nairn Cemetery.

Council discussed the issue at its last meeting and feel public input is important in making the decision to install the structure that would house funeral cremation urns.

Council feels it is a feasible alternative to traditional burials.

Residents are asked to contact the township via email or by calling the office.

The deadline for comment is June 30th.

Send an email to melaniebilodeau@nairncentre.ca or by calling 705-869-4232.
