OPP Community Street Crime Unit seizes drugs in Espanola

Manitoulin OPP executed a warrant in Espanola earlier this week leading to the arrest of five individuals.

Constable Tessa Kasch says on Monday, the OPP along with the Community Street Crime Unit executed a warrant at a residence on Watson Avenue in Espanola.

She says the search of the residence led to the seizures of various quantities of drugs including suspected crystal meth, fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, oxycodone pills and hydromorphone capsules.

Kasch says the street value of the drugs is estimated at over $26,000 with five individuals, four men and one woman, arrested and charged with various possession charges.

She adds the five are to appear in Espanola court at a later date.

 

A 38-year-old manfrom Espanola was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (Other than Heron), contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA (two counts)

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (Other than Heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Fail to Comply with Probation Order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code (CC)

 

A 28-year-old man from Espanola was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (Other than Heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

 

A 42-year-old man from Espanola was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (Other than Heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other than to Attend Court, contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the CC

 

A 37-year-old man from Espanola was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Heroin, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA

 

A 35-year-old woman from Espanola was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (Other than Heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA.
