A new Elliot Lake school will open its doors to the public, specifically for the families of Grade 6 students looking for a stepping stone to high school.
Algoma School Board communication director Fran Walsh says tomorrow the public can drop in from 4 pm to 6 pm at Elliot Lake Intermediate School, located at 303 Mississauga Ave, which offers grades 7 and 8 junior high curricula and scheduling.
She says Elliot Lake Intermediate School opened its doors last September and with the lifting of COVID protocols can now open its doors to explore the new facility.
She adds the school currently has nearly 100 students enrolled in the hub.
