Honouring a talented musical inductee

The people of Blind River and the surrounding area will be gathering to honour one of their musical talents being inducted into a hall of fame.

The Blind River Legion will be the host gathering place for the inductee celebration of Lois Jones of Blind Rive.

Jones will be formally inducted into the Great North Opry at the Northern Ontario Country Music Awards this coming November.

She is one member of the Women in Song, a local musical trio that has entertained audiences for over 20 years, raised over $20,000 in charity dollars and written many original songs producing their first album last year.

Jones will be joined by her bandmates Patty Dunlop and Debbie Rivard as part of the celebration of her accomplishments as a songwriter the evening of Saturday, May 28th.

Tickets are available at Barrels of Goodies Bulk Food Store in Blind River or from Patty Dunlop or Allison Wagner.
