Fatal workplace incident

A death in a Levack workplace, just outside of Sudbury, is being investigated by Greater Sudbury Police, the Coroner’s Office and the Ministry of Labour.

Constable Kaitlyn Dunn says on Friday afternoon just before 3 pm, police responded to a workplace incident at a winter salt and sand yard located on Municipal Rd 8 in Levack.

She says when officers arrived, a 40-year-old male was found deceased.

She says a post-mortem examination will be conducted by the Coroner’s Office to determine the

cause of death.

Out of respect for the family, the name of the deceased will not be released.

Dunn adds the investigation is continuing.
