Sables-Spanish Rivers Township has nominated a long-time volunteer as Senior of the year.
Council reviewed the nomination for Roger Rainville as Senior of the Year for the township at their last meeting.
The nominator stated year after year, Roger’s volunteer work has been consistent and outstanding.
Recognition of his good deeds and devotion to the community is well deserved as a volunteer with the Massey Agricultural Society, the Autumn Leaves of Lee Valley, even as Santa’s chauffeur for the past few years.
His nomination has now been sent to the Ontario Honours & Awards Committee for official certification.
Rainville will be presented with a certificate acknowledging his years of volunteerism later this spring.
