The nomination period for anyone interested in running for municipal council or school board is now open.
The nomination period officially opened yesterday.
Candidates must collect 25 signatures endorsing their candidacy.
Nominations must also be filed using the proper forms and fees will apply, which are available at municipal offices throughout the province.
Candidates are not allowed to fundraise for their campaign or spend any money on it until the nomination papers are legally filed.
Nominations close on Friday, August 19 with the election taking place on October 24th.
