Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario has appointed a new school trustee.
Gouled Hassan will represent Wards 1 and 6 for the City of Greater Sudbury.
Board chair Anne-Marie Gélineault says Hassan is a project coordinator at Contact interculturel francophone de Sudbury and as a management professional, he works as a project manager for the Northeast at the Ontario Arts Council and Laurentian University and as an international admissions officer at Cambrian College.
She adds at the community level, Hassan is involved in various committees related to the promotion of diversity, such as La Coalition des noirs francophones de l’Ontario, the University of Sudbury Governance Council and others.
His appointment is official immediately.
