Earth Day focus of school activities on Friday

Schools throughout all three districts of Algoma, Sudbury and Manitoulin are hosting various activities tomorrow as Earth Day 2022.

In honour of Earth Day, students in Rainbow Schools will participate in an EcoSchools livestream event today hosted by Severn Cullis-Suzuki, the Executive Director of the David Suzuki Foundation.

That will be followed by various environmentally-focused activities from Indigenous videos to nature walks to eco-friendly art, tomorrow.

The French Catholic board will host school and community clean-ups with their students and in-class activities with a green focus.

And the French public board will release the first of a series of videos featuring First Nations, Métis and Inuit culture to its schools.
