East Algoma OPP is investigating a fatal collision in Elliot Lake.
Constable Bev Gauthier says on Saturday evening around eight pm, police were called out to a single motor vehicle collision in a parking lot on Ontario Avenue in Elliot Lake.
She says the investigation determined that the van was leaving the lot when it was driven into a cement barrier.
Gauthier says the driver was transported to the hospital but died of their injuries.
She says the deceased is identified as 54-year-old Randy Wake of Elliot Lake and a post-mortem will be held this week.
She adds the investigation is ongoing.
