Highway Six work set to go

Reconstruction of Highway Six between Whitefish River First Nation and Little Current is expected to take up to two years to complete.

In a release, the Ministry of Transportation says the reconstruction of the highway will begin this spring.

The rehabilitation plans include grading, drainage and paving, electrical and structural improvements, and new culverts for the 16-kilometre stretch of highway.

The ministry adds signage will be in place and travellers can expect slowdowns through the construction phase of the major project.
