The City of Elliot Lake is hosting a special meeting to detail the next steps on the community hub.
City CAO Daniel Gagnon says the town hall meeting last week updated the public about the various options for building a community hub, which would house an indoor walking track, pool, and arena, and now it is time to make some decisions.
With an estimated price tag of $30-million dollars, no matter what option is chosen, the city wants to investigate funding grants and partnerships to build the centre.
Gagnon says a special council meeting will be held tomorrow evening at 7 pm via Zoom for the staff to recommend the next steps and various options for council’s consideration.
