An auction has resulted in an Elliot Lake organization making a sizeable donation to a fund for sick children.
Alanna Cassivi recently organized a staff fundraising auction at Elliot Lake Retirement Living for the benefit of the North Shore Cruisers Sick Kids Fund.
She says the corporation supplied auction items that staff was then able to bid on.
She adds Elliot Lake Retirement Living then matched the funds raised by staff for a total donation of $2,266.
Cassivi says several staff members at Retirement Living have received support for their families from the North Shore Cruisers, so they wanted to pay it forward to other kids in need.
