The Massey Agricultural Society is looking forward to the return of their annual fair on a bigger scale and with that, elections were held to begin the process once again.
The fair has been held during COVID-19, but on a far smaller scale with the fair being the largest of its kind in Northern Ontario before the pandemic hit.
The new board president is Dianne Emiry, a long-time farmer with a strong focus on the 4H Program, and she is joined by vice-president Nick McCormick and Secretary Kathryn Larochelle.
The treasurer position is expected to be filled soon and several individuals were also named to the board of directors.
Past President Brian Channon was thanked for his focus and work over the pandemic and will continue working with the group.
The first organizational meeting set for this evening at 7 pm at St. Andrews Church (use side entrance).
The fair is to be held in late August.
