The Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario is committed to raising awareness of a growing need in the Greater Sudbury community.
Seven CSPGNO schools and the head office will be participating in a nationwide walk called “Coldest Night of the Year”.
Board communication director Carol Dube says the team has raised over $8,500 towards its’ goal of $10,000 with all funds raised being donated to the Samaritan Centre in Sudbury, which helps those in need.
She says most of their work assists the homeless and the hungry.
She adds while still respecting physical distancing, the schools will take part in a walk this week as part of the national initiative.
