There is a new website available that also provides an app to plan a trip to stop and see the locations where artists that made up the Group of Seven found their inspiration.
In 1919 a group of artists decided to organize an exhibition and to call themselves the Group of Seven.
The site provides stories, information about scenic stops, suggestions for indulging in your own artistic endeavours.
The seven founding members were: Lawren S. Harris, J.E.H. MacDonald, Arthur Lismer, Frederick Varley, Frank Johnston, Franklin Carmichael and A.Y. Jackson eventually welcoming Tom Thompson and A.J. Casson. Visit https://momentsofalgoma.ca/ for the app and more information.
