Cold case solved

Those remains biology students found near North Bay in June belong to a Timmins man missing since 2011.  Bernard Sackaney was 48 when he was last seen hitch-hiking in the North Bay area four years ago.  The students found a shoe in a marsh containing a foot and when they called police, investigators found more remains nearby.  Foul play is not suspected in Sackaney’s death.
