Bed campaign successful in Elliot Lake

The generosity of the public and dedicated fundraising campaign has led to success in buying new beds for St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake.

Foundation chair William Elliott says their most recent donor, Leslie Aube donated $6,000, the purchase price of one of the beds.

Elliot adds they have reached the 90% level, $291,000 of the $324,000 budget.

He says they have installed 18 of the 54 beds and the rest will be purchased when the final ten percent is raised over the next couple of months.
