The Manitoulin OPP has laid several sex assault charges against a Lively man.
Constable Tessa Kasch says on Tuesday just before midnight police responded to a report of an individual who had been sexually assaulted and where threats were made by several people at an address on West Branch Road in Massey.
She says a 29-year-old resident of Lively has been charged with two counts of sexual assault of a person under 16, two counts of sexual interference, three counts of forcible confinement and assault with a weapon.
Kasch says the accused was held for a bail hearing and is to appear in Espanola court today.
She adds the investigation is continuing.
