She didn’t win a medal but that didn’t stop fans of Caroline Ehrhardt of Espanola from cheering her on at the Pan-Am Games. More than 100 people watched their golden girl compete at the women’s triple jump Tuesday night through a live stream at the recreation complex. Ehrhardt finished 14th in a field of 16 competitors. Going into the event, Erhardt knew it was a very tough field and said she was going to give it her best. Erhardt is a four-time Canadian champ in the triple jump.
