The provincial government has appointed new governors to the Laurentian University board following the resignation of the previous members last week.
The Lieutenant-Governor in Council has appointed five new governors for a one-year term.
The include Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce President CEO Debbi Nicholson, NORCAT President CEO Don Duval, Robert Brouillette, the owner of City Welding, GBMC Incorporated President, Gerard Bilodeau and Pathway Group, Jeff Bangs.
All five have history as volunteers, as well as hands-on experience in strategic planning, project and operations management, and organizational development.
The five will be joined by others in the New Year to continue the restructure of Laurentian University as it moves through the bankruptcy process.
