A food drive in Elliot Lake has garnered hundreds of bags in food items from residents.
Purolator communications spokesperson Emily Innes-Leroux says volunteers distributed 1,100 bags in the city on December 4th and collected them over the last couple of days.
She says the campaign was successful with 5,263 pounds of food and an estimated $10,600 in support of the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank.
Innes-Leroux extends a huge thank you to everyone who supported the campaign.
