Students enjoying their summer could face job action from their teachers when they return to school in September. Elementary teachers started job actions in May. And Kelly Holley, the president of the Algoma Elementary Teacher’s Federation, says job actions will resume once school starts up. Holley adds they could escalate and is not ruling out a work stoppage. At the local level, Holley says talks have not been productive. She says more details on the job action could come in mid-August when the teachers have their annual meeting in Toronto.
