For the fourth year in a row, Cambrian College Business students have earned medals at the annual Ontario College Marketing Competition.
Business professor Kim Donaldson says students turned in four top-five finishes this time around including a third-place finish for Morgan Vienneau of Espanola.
Hosted this year by Humber College, with teams from eleven colleges, she says the competition is a student-focused learning experience that provides competitors with the ability to demonstrate their essential, vocational, and employability skills before industry professionals.
Donaldson adds the competition also serves as a stepping-stone from academia to industry by creating real-world experiences and networking opportunities.

Second place – Job Interview category – Alyssa Mirabella (Sudbury)
Third place – Entrepreneurship category – Paige Lemaitre (Sudbury), Morgan
Vienneau (Espanola)
Third place – Direct Marketing category – Kiara Schwartz (Fochville, South Africa), Carley MacKenzie (Sudbury)
Fourth place – Sales Presentation category – Colton Blay (Sudbury)

No matter where we end up in the standings, this is always a win for me.”
